We collect the following categories of information: • Job Seekers: Name, email address, phone number, and CV/résumé content including work history, education, and skills — provided voluntarily when you upload your CV. • Employers: Name, company name, email address, phone number, and job listing details provided during account registration. • Skilled Tradespeople: Name, trade category, region, village/community, phone number, WhatsApp number, years of experience, daily rate, profile photo, and a short bio — provided voluntarily when registering a listing. • Reviewers: Name and phone number collected when submitting a review. Phone numbers are used solely to enforce a one-review-per-person limit and are never displayed publicly. • Usage Data: We may collect non-personal technical information such as device type, browser type, and general usage patterns to improve platform performance.
We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve our services: • To match job seekers with relevant job listings using our automated matching technology. • To display tradesperson profiles to clients searching for skilled services in Guyana. • To allow employers to review matched candidates and manage job listings. • To verify review authenticity and prevent duplicate submissions. • To communicate with users regarding their account, listings, or support requests. • To improve platform features and user experience.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Your data is never passed to advertisers, data brokers, or any external organisations. Information collected on this platform is used exclusively to deliver our services to you.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Profile photos are stored using secure cloud storage and are accessible only via a unique URL. While we take data security seriously, no system is completely impenetrable and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Job seeker CV data is automatically deleted after 30 days or when a matched position is closed. Tradesperson listings remain active until the provider removes them or their listing expires. Employer account data is retained for the duration of the active subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping. Review data is retained to maintain the integrity of the platform's rating system. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Our platform uses the following third-party services to operate: • Supabase — database and file storage (supabase.com) • Vercel — web hosting and deployment (vercel.com) • Google Fonts — typography (fonts.google.com) • WhatsApp — direct communication between users and tradespeople, initiated voluntarily by users These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We do not control how these services handle data beyond what is required to deliver our platform.
JobSpot GY is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove that information.
